Who we are

The data controller for the personal data described below is Fondation Inartis, the foundation behind Asinov School. Contact: Station R, Rue de Lausanne 64, CH-1020 Renens, Switzerland · info@asinov.ch.

What we collect

When you apply, we collect what you enter in the application form:

• Identity and contact: full name, email address, phone number if you provide it, and where you are based (city / canton)
• Eligibility: your English proficiency and confirmation that you are 18 or older
• Sponsorship, if an employer is backing you: the company name, your role there, and your sponsor's name and email
• Technical background: your programming, Python, Linux and Git experience, and (optionally) a link to code you've written, a description of it, and any robotics or machine-learning experience
• Your motivation and what you want to do after the program
• Logistics: whether you can attend in person and full-time, and whether you'd like help finding accommodation
• Your consent, with the date and time you gave it

If you name a sponsor contact, you give us another person's name and email. We use it only to confirm the sponsorship; please make sure they know you are sharing it.

Why we collect it

Solely to assess and process your application to the program: reviewing it, contacting you about it (including a confirmation email when you submit), and organizing any admissions interview. Applications are reviewed and decided by people; we make no automated individual decisions.

Legal basis

We process this data on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you submit the application and which we store with your record. You may withdraw it at any time (see “Your rights”).

Retention

We keep application data only as long as necessary for the purpose above:

• If you enroll, your application becomes part of your student record.
• If you are not admitted, or you withdraw, we delete your application data 12 months after the admissions decision for the cohort you applied to.
• If you use Save & continue later, your partial answers and your email address are stored under an unguessable link for 60 days after you last save, then deleted automatically. We use the email address only to send you that link.

Who sees it

Your application is seen only by the people involved in admissions. We do not sell or share it with third parties. Our hosting and email provider, Infomaniak (Switzerland), processes the data on our behalf as a technical service provider. Your data is not disclosed abroad, and it is not shared with 42 Lausanne: if the foundations route is relevant for you, applying there is a separate step you take yourself.

Hosting & security

Your data is hosted in Switzerland (Infomaniak). It is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS); we do not write personal data to application logs, and access is limited to those who need it to process applications. Like any web host, Infomaniak keeps short-lived technical server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and operations.

No tracking

This site uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. A single anonymous value (powering the small robot animation) is kept in your browser for the duration of your visit; it contains no personal data and never leaves your device.

Your rights

Under the Swiss nFADP you may request access to your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, receive the data you gave us in a common electronic format, and withdraw your consent at any time, in which case we stop processing your application and delete it. To exercise these rights, contact us using the address below; we will respond within 30 days. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
